Position Objective


The Solution Implementation Manager will provide direction and leadership across a region to effectively support the implementation of solutions, hardware, and services for Konica Minolta customers.

He or she will ensure that regional resources maintain the technical skills required to deliver continuous improvements and develop roadmaps to ensure comprehensive coverage.

In partnership with market/branch sales and technical staff, the Solution Implementation Manager will coordinate the planning, scheduling, and execution of solutions, as well as the installation and support of professional services (including growth of additional ad-hoc professional services outside the hardware sales cycle).

Essential Job Functions

  • Recruit and develop technical staff resources
  • Work closely with sales, professional services, solutions and support.
  • Coordination of resources for product installation and training services as defined in the Scope of Work or deployment guide documentation.
  • Expand KMBS Professional Services opportunities by identifying customer post sale workflow and training requirements, and document utilizing Solutions Management System (SMS).
  • Collaborate with professional services team on creating and/or developing Engagement letters, Site Survey, Scope of Work (SOW) preparation and integration projects where appropriate.
  • Coordinates resources for development of customized solutions for Proof of Concepts, Technical Pilots, and creation of Deployment Guides.
  • Serve as escalation point from Client Service Helpdesk (CSD) in resolving solutions issues.
  • Maximize the use of remote connectivity tools for installations and servicing.
  • Maintain education training standards and certifications levels in line with job requirements and advancement development plans.
  • Understand advanced solutions for office, production and enterprise customers.

Experience, Educational Requirements and Certifications

  • 3-5 years relevant solutions installation and support experience.
  • Exposure, to and practical experience in, project management.
  • Experience managing a technical staff and interaction with sales
  • Pre-sale experience in dealing with large customer at a high level
  • Experience in network topology and software applications related to digital graphic systems, including Microsoft applications. Strong technical knowledge and experience with on-site customer relations will be required.
  • Knowledge of Network print servers, Document management/ scanning applications and workflows, Manage Print Services, Print Optimization/cost recovery, Print and MFP print controller technology, SQL, Security, and major third party print manufacturer's devices.
  • Strong working knowledge of industry hardware, services and solutions offerings.
  • Strong working knowledge of MAC and PC Operating Systems.
  • Industry Standard technical certifications preferred or equivalent experience in a related field.
